MARKUS ROGAN

Marriage and Family Therapist - Malibu, CA

Markus holds a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stanford University. Prior to his current practice, Markus conducted Clinical and Psychological research at the University of California Los Angeles. He also served as a psychotherapist at Beit T’Shuva.

Markus is a professional swimmer. He has competed in four Olympic Games where he won two Silver Medals. He holds one world title, nine European titles and two world records. He has been honored with the Golden Cross of Honor of the Republic of Austria, the City of Addis Adeba Award for Contributions to Education, the Stanford University Al Masters Award and the United Nations Medal of Honor for Civil Courage.

As a therapist and athlete's advisory board member at Paradigm Drug Rehab Center in Malibu, Markus takes his practice out in the field, literally. Markus pairs his skills as a therapist with swimming, using the pool as a tool for healing and growth. He works with participants in individual and group sessions, using swimming to help youth work through blocked emotions, build self-confidence and the develop social skills. He is happily married and has one daughter.
