Victorian Wrestlers

Homeowner: Audrey & Teri

Occupation: Best Friends/Performers/Wrestlers/Servers

Home Location: Tustin, CA

Audrey and Teri are kindred spirits who initially met while professionally wrestling in Las Vegas. (It’s a long story!) They are creative souls who are obsessed with vintage, historic and Victorian. The scoop: Audrey was in the market for a home and had been scouring the MLS in Orange County when she saw a completely bonkers Victorian listing. As a die-hard horror and, “all things spooky” fan, Audrey was immediately smitten by the opulent property. She called her bestie who was also looking for a place and they decided to go in on the pad together. Now the duo is inheriting a historic home (and yes, all of the furnishings) that is dripping in historic, vintage glamour. They’re going to preserve the places’ incredible style and put their own mark on the design and aesthetic of the home. What’s even better? The home was built in 1880, was once used as a hotel and is rumored to be haunted! They can’t wait to have a séance in their bling-tastic manor. Or perhaps a wrestling match in the backyard?

  • The home features several cigar/smoking rooms that are completely decked out with vintage furniture, detailed woodwork, antiques, old-art, crystals, tapestries and opulent furnishings. It’s like stepping back in a bygone era of someone who “blinged out” their house over a hundred years ago!

  • Even the bathrooms have their own historic “bling” to them: next to the toilet is a coat of arms, old statues and golden picture frames. No space is safe from the touch of old-school glamour.

  • The stairway is the show-stopping space in the home. With ornate, original wood work, the grand staircase is the anchor of the home. Near to the stairs is a “gilded” hallway with a wow-worthy2 ceiling fresco reminiscent of the famous paintings in the Vatican.

  • The attic is a strange and spooky space that is decorated with gilded-golden chairs facing an angelic statue. Certainly, the creepiest part of the home.

  • The grounds are lined with angel after angel, creating a strange but serene aesthetic.

  • Because the home was built in 1880 it has a rich and fascinating history. Teri and Audrey plan to be stewards of the properties’ unique history and style. They know that they have a treasure and they are going to preserve and continue to build on its legacy.
