Point pleasant, nJ
Tyler and his best-friend and business partner, Jeremy, co-own a home-flipping business in the picturesque vacation-oriented town of Point Pleasant on the Jersey Shore. Yes, these guys are flipping beach front property on the Jersey Shore! Jeremy comes from a marketing and sales background and Tyler comes from a real-estate background. The duo has been friends for over twelve years and have been working together for about four year. They started in carpeting and window washing and have worked their way up in the industry. It’s not just the BFF’s, Tyler is working side by side his mother Laura and his girlfriend Lauren. Mom is a former professor and working artist, so she helps to design the layout and creative finishes of the space. Lauren is a “Jane-of-all-trades” helping Tyler and Jeremy to identify properties, do walk throughs, paint, tile… and lastly, she’s isn’t afraid to sport a hazmat suit and respirator and declutter a disgusting, hoarder home… Which they have done plenty of.
Working on the Jersey shore, Jeremy and Tyler are encountering any number of interesting properties including homes that are sight unseen, coastal properties as well as a “hoarder houses.” Tyler and Jeremy own the business 50/50. Where Tyler is the hands-on guy: he envisions and plans the renovation, manages the construction and deals with the hands-on, day-to-day. Jeremy is behind the scenes, contacting potential leads, investigating home owner’s, dealing with the transactions and coordinating everything that happens off-site. They see each other just about every day and do multiple home walk-throughs a week. They are living and breathing their business 24/7. The two met at a group meeting, had similar personalities, goals and sense of humor so they became instant business partners. At this point, they’ve flipped over 50 homes over their careers. They’ll take on anywhere between 12-15 homes a year.
Tyler has a soft spot for historic, older homes or any homes with character. Tyler’s mom is an artist and raised Tyler on her own as s single mom. She raised her son to be a well-rounded, well-travelled, compassionate and caring person. Mom is also a creative and a working artist. Because they are selling the idea of coastal living it’s important that their design reflects that. Each of their homes has a nautical, beach, or coastal vibe and aesthetic to it.

Today this team loves the gross, dirty, abandoned and derelict… Naturally, working on the Jersey Shore comes with it’s own share of home problems. Rust from the salt-air. Moisture and flooding happening underground. Flipping on the coast comes with it’s own share of issues. But the reward is greater because the competition for a house close to the beach is greater. Jeremy and Tyler know that they’re selling the dream by flipping so close to the ocean.
Lauren - Tyler’s girlfriend
They also buy homes sight, that is if the numbers just add up, meaning they don’t need to see the house in order to know that it’s a good deal number wise. Also, sometimes it has to be sight unseen because it’s tenant occupied… The good and the bad from doing sight unseen? The good: they’ve found one-of-kind and valuable items: movie posters, furniture, antiques. The bad? Termite issues. Hoarder Junk. Flooding. Asbestos. Water damage. In other words: A money pit. The ugly? Dirt. Feces. Animals. It gets so gross that they need hazmat suits and respirators. But Tyler and Jeremy avoid a complete demo if they can. They believe in preserving the home’s integrity and creating a forever space for families to live in.
Tyler and Jeremy are not afraid to take on the homes that other people are grossed out by or who believe are too far gone. Where others see mold and chaos, they see profit and potential. Their work is modern meets historic with a coastal aesthetic that caters to the vacation crowd of the Jersey Shore. This gung-ho group has everything to prove and everything to gain, flipping their slice of chaotic heaven on the Jersey Shore.
