The Collins wanted a pool that would accent the beautiful hill country view from their Austin home. The couple loves to host parties in their home for their large extended family and clients and they spare no expense when it comes to having a great time! It’s not uncommon for them to host groups of 70 people for a poolside party complete with catered food and frosty beverages from their margarita machine! The top level pool sits next to the cabana area, separated by a rain curtain that showers water down in the shape of curtain. Behind the curtain is a lounging, pool spa area housed under the cabana. Next to this area is a swim up bar, perfect for relaxing in the pool while enjoying a cocktail. Their favorite features of the pool are the negative edge design, swim up bar, grotto and the waterfall. Their kids love the waterslide and jump rock and watching sporting events on their 6 TVs around the pools. Betty and Chris love to sit out in their cabana and turn on the rain curtain for its beauty and relaxing sound. Another popular feature is the whimsical, hidden grotto. Swimming under the waterfall, guests enter the grotto area that houses its own spa. The cave-like walls have a shimmering quality that mimics jewels or precious minerals. It’s a magical place to unwind and relax away from hot Texas sun. The Collins wanted to create a pool and backyard space that everyone would enjoy – and they succeeded!
