When these three unruly girls were born to their adoring Italian mama, Donna, she was only 22 years old and already had another daughter from a previous relationship. Ever since then, everyone they met knew that these girls were special. In fact, they started to wonder what was wrong with them if a stranger didn’t stop them in their stroller to take a photo or exclaim how incredible the sisters were! These girls are so, “larger-than-life” it’s hard to remember that they’re real people!  

The Capasso triplets are committed to doing life together. When the principal wanted to split them up, they refused. They had a difficult time befriending other girls, as other girls were (and to this day) are always competitive and jealous of the three. As a result, they bonded together, becoming one another’s friend and family. And at 25 years old, they still live together, sleep in the same room, vacation together, speak their own made-up language together, and fight together. In short, they live in their own triplet world.

The sisters live in their grandmother, “Nonna’s,” house in Staten Island, just down the road from mama Donna and their loving, body-building stepdad Edward, who has known the girls for over a decade. Their father is still in the picture, but they rarely see him as he is in very poor health and needs full-time medical care. The girls think nothing of sleeping and cuddling in the same bed together. Nadia does all their shopping for the trio. Since they share so much anyway it’s just easier if Nadia just buys clothing knowing that they’ll all wear it. They are proud of the procedures they have had done. They like their over-the-top look and the attention that it garners! Hannah, the self-described leader of the pack is obsessed with exercise and longevity. She’s never seen without her ankle-weights. Not far behind her is Nadia, who loves to hula hoop with her weighted hula hoop. Nadia wants to be on the same level as Hannah physically. Katherine (or Kitty) as they call her, wants to get a breast lift to match her busty sisters. Katherine wants to lose ten pounds so she can be closer to the same weight as her other sisters. Hannah and Nadia don’t like it when Katherine isn’t on the same page.  

They also have their own made-up language that sounds like pig-Latin that they speak when they don’t want others to know what they’re talking about. Although they share similarities each sister has their own distinct personality. Hannah, is the no-holds-barred leader who has an unfiltered mouth and constantly speaks for her sisters. Katherine and Nadia are not shrinking violets and stand up to Hannah. It’s not uncommon to hear screaming matches, personal insults and throwing of clothing…it get’s heated and it gets loud. Nadia is the self-described wild-child and Kitty plays, “mom” of the groups, wrangling the girls and playing referee.

Nonna dotes on her granddaughter’s hand-and-foot and doesn’t enforce rules or discipline that mama does in her house, so the girls live there. It’s a big, intense, in-your-face Italian family that has normal conversations at shouting volume… usually with a glass of wine in hand. The eldest sister, Regina and Aunt Tricia also live in the neighborhood, and both agree that the girls are too close. Regina feels that her sisters are an insular pod that she hasn’t been able to penetrate. Although Regina has been able to have her own relationships, purchase her own home, she isn’t included in the sister’s lives in the way should would like to be.  

Dating is a Pandora’s box for the girls. If a man expresses interest in more than one of the girls, it’s a turn off, and they lose interest. They want to be loved and appreciated for who they are as individuals, not as a novelty. Also, dating someone that the other sister has dated or is interested in is a deal breaker. They’re’ all currently dating and looking for love. Hannah is the most perplexing as she doesn’t identify as bi-sexual, but she dates both men and women, often acting as the heartbreaker in a relationship. It’s rumored that Hannah has a boyfriend who proposed to her, but Hannah hasn’t confirmed or denied it. Katherine loves the sensitive gamer-type but hasn’t been able to meet a man that is worth spending time away from her sisters for. Nadia, is the wild-card and finds attraction where she, “finds attraction.” Finding a man who can tolerate the three of them has been tough, but they haven’t given up yet.

The sisters are navigating growing a business together. Hannah is currently in school and the three are working on an insurance sales business. On their downtime they love all things “fandom” and “nerd-culture.” They love to play video games, collect “Hello Kitty” Sanrio paraphernalia, watch Anime and make costumes/outfits for themselves. They’ve met an online community of likeminded people that they are hoping to meet at various comic conventions throughout the country. Although they’re loving living with grandma, they’re eventually going to have to live on their own and support themselves. Grandma and mama both agree that the girls need to learn some domestic responsibility and start thinking about a life outside of the care of their grandmother and mother.
