Ken & Barbie Med-Spa Owners

This over-the-top couple hailing from sunny Miami couldn’t be more picture perfect; just like Ken and Barbie. Their faces are flawless, bodies chiseled, skin glowing....and they are crazy in love. They even eerily look like one another due to all the procedures that they get together. Just like the plastic aesthetic of Ken and Barbie this couple defies age by getting beauty enhancing treatments together. It doesn’t hurt that they co-own and co-manage several med-spas, and are continuing to build a spa empire!

When Sharmi and Jason first met they were extremely different from one another, hailing from opposite backgrounds, interests and upbringings. Sharmi came from a loud, speak-your-mind latino family. She was a wild-girl who would spend her time partying, drinking and going out with her girlfriends. Jason, on the other hand came from a a traditional, conservative outdoorsy, camping, fishing, hunting and hiking family. Jason was a book smart and studious young man who studied engineering in college. In short, the complete opposite of Sharmi. What did they had in common? Their love for their appearance.

Sharmi always cared deeply about how she looked. When she met Jason she was already spending thousands of dollars on beauty and med-spa treatments. Although Jason was an outdoorsy guy, he was always extremely health and fitness conscious, spending hours and hours in the gym. When they got married, they decided to open a med-spa together. Jason admits that he invested partly in order to subsidize Sharmi’s expensive med-spa addiction. She was already spending thousands on her looks, so why not invest in a med-spa? The opening of the med-spa encouraged both Jason and Sharmi to escalate and increase their beauty procedures and routines. What started as a once in a while thing has become a full-on beauty lifestyle obsession.

Today, this couple is absolutely infatuated with everything beauty. Like iron sharpening iron, they are each other’s biggest cheerleader, encouraging (and perhaps enabling) one another to keep pushing the envelope as it relates to treatments and procedures. The couple gets peptides that help with weight loss and fat loss, they also both go on and off of Ozempic. They get cool-sculpting. They get filler, Botox, or “bro-tox” as Jason calls it. They get cryotherapy, facials and IV drips. One of the most noticeable beauty routines that they do together is the “anti-aging” liquid IV drip that they do on a monthly basis. This IV drip can take anywhere between 3-5 hours. And because they are busy couple they think nothing of bringing the IV bags along with them wherever they go! They have gone to lunch with their IV bags hanging from their holders, they’ve even brought them into meetings and along for car rides! Yes, they get stares and hushed looks when they go out in public with a syringe in their arms!

They are big gym fanatics. Jason will take an hour long, red-bull fueled shower every morning just to get ready for the gym. Once at the gym they are there for at least an hour or two every day. Jason is big on cleanliness and has been known to shower 3-4 times per day.

Because they own a med-spa they are always being introduced to new and interesting treatments and services. Part of it is because they need to “look the look and walk the walk” as business owners, but another part of it is because they just want to look and feel their best. They recently discovered a treatment that would take their sex-life to new heights. Jason and Sharmi have undergone painful injections specifically intended to make them orgasm longer, harder, and more frequently. For men it’s the P-shot, and for women it’s the O-shot. There are a number of benefits associated with the shot, boosting sensation and erectile function during sex. A win-win! Only downside?  It is injected directly into the male and female genitalia! Ouch! But Sharmi and Jason said it works and it’s worth it!

Oh, and this couple has even taken to matching and coordinating their outfits together. Although it’s all coming from Sharmi, Jason admits that he doesn’t mind the matching. He loves to match his wife and kids. Sharmi has already had a BBL and breast augmentation but is actively considering another breast augmentation. Sharmi always wants to avoid the aging process, so she is interested in a blepharoplasty (an eyelid rejuvenation) but the doctors are saying that she is too young and doesn’t need it. She is also interested in a facelift so that she doesn’t continue having to do the micro needling. Jason would be interested in getting veneers next. He is happy with his look, but feels like he needs better teeth to improve his smile.

It’s always been Sharmi’s dream to manifest an empire of multiple businesses. Jason, however, isn’t as interested in expanding and growing. He would rather have more time for himself, for the kids and for his marriage, than spend time working. The couple has recently closed on a new med-spa location which will inevitably take up more of their time over the next year, building out, renovating and staffing a new business.
