Sania & Madiha

SISTER: SaNIA (32)

SISTER: MADIHA (29)

Home Location: HOUSTON, TX

Pakistani sisters Madiha and Sania grew up in a conservative, Muslim household. The sisters were raised together but grew in separate directions when they became young adults. Today, they are dissimilar in just about everything.

Where Sania is obsessed with animals (she has seven and counting) and even has a farm, Madiha cringes at the very thought! She is a city girl that loves her modern, condo living and detests a country, farm life. Sania is very religious and wears her hijab, whereas Madiha owns a fashion company and believes in expressing herself with hip, non-religious wear. Sania won't even wear nail polish because she believes it's a sin to wear while praying; Madiha feels like that is nonsense. Sania is very extreme and tends to dive all the way into whatever she feels passionate about for the moment, this tends to strike a nerve with Madiha who is more logical and more blunt.

Growing up, Sania was the nerdy and studious girl, whereas Madiha was popular and didn’t care about school at all. Not surprisingly, Madiha loves to party and let loose with her friends, and Sania hates partying. Sania and Madiha pretty much disagree on all things; where Sania is spoiled by her parents and never lifts a finger, Madiha is independent and prides herself on being useful. Sania is a mom, Madiha is not. Sania recently started working with the family business again, but Madiha would rather follow her own dreams.

The sisters live just 30 minutes away from each other but it feels like they are worlds apart! Sania is a self-proclaimed "farm girl" and is so excited to show off her homely cottage and barn. She is married and has one daughter who is three years old. Madiha resides in the city with her husband in a posh condo, and the only baby on her mind is her much anticipated 30th birthday later this year. Sania and her husband are considering another child, but are unsure if they’re ready to try again.

The rest of the large, outgoing Indian family lives nearby and are all together often. The sisters have two younger brothers that they are close to and can easily attest to their opposite traits.

These sisters are entertaining to say the least! They are opposite in every way possible, but the love they share is admirable. Madiha will always call Sania out when she starts acting dramatic, and Sania will just keep being Sania; the animal loving, super religious, sweet sister that gets on Madiha’s nerves! The sisters are still navigating the next steps of their lives and for Sania, getting back to the business with her father and trying to purchase more animals are on the top of her list. Madiha is hyper focused on her career and building a solid foundation all while being her outspoken self, even if her family doesn't quite understand.
