Ron is a lovable, unmistakably Canadian nerd who is obsessed with Star Wars, so much so that he has built multiple cookers designed to look like Darth Vader, R2D2 and other iconic characters. He is a house builder by trade, but is completely self taught when it comes to fabrication and welding. One day, he decided to start teaching himself how, starting with building simple wood burners, and didn’t stop until he was good enough to start selling incredible cookers to his fellow Canucks. For Ron, it was definitely his love of BBQ’ng that led to his interest in building his own cookers. While he’s primarily a fan of the beef (ribs, steaks… anything red!), he doesn’t shy away from masterfully grilling chickens on the grill as well. He spent 22 years as an elite-level travel softball coach, which has instilled a permanent competitive streak in him, but considering his Canadian temperament, he loves to have fun just as much as he likes to win. Unlike others who have found success in the cooker world, he does not fancy himself the engineer-type. He will have a vision, and then he will execute that vision. Plain and simple. It’s the Canadian way.
