Relationship Background

  • 2014, Barbara met Arnold in Sacramento, California, while caring for her mother and commuting to work in San Francisco. Both were single parents trying to rebuild. She saw him as grounded, hardworking, and family-oriented. The kind of man who could offer partnership and stability.

  • Over six years together, they blended their families and lives. His family embraced her, and she believed she had finally found a partner who matched her values and ambition.

  • They shared a faith and a vision. Barbara was a makeup artist who had worked with stars, politicians, and public figures; Arnold was in construction with a strong work ethic.

  • 2019, they founded an environmental cleaning business in Los Angeles where they recently moved to. Barbara handled administration, contracts, and clients; Arnold ran field operations. They were able to acquire major contacts for construction projects for the city of Los Angeles.

Marriage & Life Together

  • 2020, Barbara and Arnold married during the pandemic, a quiet ceremony attended virtually by family.

  • They were known as a power couple in Los Angeles, they were present at city meetings, local events, and church programs. Their work was featured on municipal projects, and Barbara’s leadership earned her professional recognition.

  • But as the business grew, so did the cracks. Arnold began taking private calls, embellishing his role in the business, and shutting Barbara out of key decisions.

A Family Tragedy

  • 2023, Barbara’s adult son became critically ill with kidney failure. She split her time between running the business and traveling 400 miles to Sacramento to care for him. Arnold began to resent her for the attention and time she was giving to her son.

  • 2024, Arnold had to have spinal surgery to heal his spinal stenosis. Baraba cared for him for eight months as he recovered.

  • January 8, 2025 Barbara’s son died.

Disappearance

  • March 2025, Just after her son’s funeral, Arnold started a fight with Barbara’s daughter, then suddenly left. Arnold packed his belongings and disappeared.

  • May 15, 2025. Two months later, they heard from the bank that Arnold had withdrawn funds from their joint business account.

  • To the outside world, it looked like Barbara’s partner had simply stepped away.

Aftermath/Attempts To Find Him

  • She attempted to serve divorce papers, she hired a private investigator, and even involved the sheriff but Arnold has managed to avoid all attempts to locate him.

  • She believes he’s still in Southern California, possibly staying with relatives, though she’s cut contact with all of them.

  • Barabara believes that Arnold’s disappearance was planned. She stopped by work site to ask about him. The workers, not knowing that she was his wife, admitted that Arnold told them his plans to leave the business weeks before he disappeared. She feels as though he planned his exit strategically.

  • Because of Arnold’s surgery and recovery, he wasn’t able to work. Therefore they weren’t able to fulfill all of their contractual business obligations. Not to mention, his considerable healthcare bills have put him and Baraba in considerable debt.

  • Additionally, Barbara thought that he was paying for their utilities. Barbara has come to find out that she is thousands of dollars past-due for local utilities.

  • As a result Baraba and her business are facing lawsuits, debt collectors, financial instability and potentially bankruptcy.

  • Barbara is doing her best to rebuild her business from scratch, trying to salvage her name and reputation in the business she worked so hard to build.

Why She Needs to Find Him Now

  • Barbara is still legally tied to Arnold financially, professionally, and on paper. She needs to finalize the divorce, clear the business accounts, and ensure he can’t continue operating under her name.

  • She wants truth and accountability: to know where he is, what he’s been doing, and whether he’s repeating this cycle with someone else.

  • For Barbara, this isn’t about revenge it’s about redemption. She wants her story told honestly, to reclaim the narrative from the man who left her to face the fallout alone.
