The original pool was built in 2005 which boasted a negative edge waterfall and a tanning Ledge. However, in 2013, Hal came back to the guys at Allison Pools inspired by a trip to Mexico. He wanted to do a renovation that included doubling the size of the pool, adding a raised spa, swim-up bar, fire pot, and a palapa covered outdoor kitchen. The renovation project was a surprise for Hal’s wife Sandy—she didn’t know anything about the project until it was completed! The pool boasts an incredible view of the lake and with a perfectly place boulder in the middle of the pool that holds an umbrella- it’s a perfect place to relax with a Margarita and pretend you’re off the coast of Baja. The Smith’s wanted to add features to the pool that would enhance their outdoor entertaining space for their friends, children and grandchildren. Hal is a restaurateur and wanted to put in a state of the art kitchen outfitted with restaurant quality appliances, including a sandwich bar. Hal decided he wanted a palapa covering over his outdoor kitchen after being inspired by a trip to Mexico. They added in a swim up bar so guests can easily enjoy a meal without needing to exit the pool. The Smith’s added a spa that can accommodate 10 people. Their guests can watch the dancing fire of the fire pot feature while they enjoy the custom special jets in the spa. The Oklahoma flagstone coping was added along with moss rock accents. The view is one of the most incredible features-seamlessly blending the horizon into the vanishing edge of the pool. The opposite end of the vanishing edge is a massive, and dramatic waterfall with a holding pond at the bottom. This is a beautiful party place reminiscent of a Mexican vacation.
