Asha came to New York from Kansas City to be a dancer, and she did just that. For 5 years she was on the Brooklyn Nets. It got even better when she was asked to choreograph half time shows for Lil Kim and Busta Rhymes AND dance with Beyonce at the VMA’s. But as time went on she knew dancing had an expiration date and she needed to find a career that could make her enough money to afford her lifestyle. As she grew as an agent, specializing in Brooklyn, the money coming in was incredible. So much so that on a whim she treated herself to a first-class trip to Belize, just because. Michaela started her career as a fashion stylist working for many celebrities like Elizabeth Olsen, Leslie Mann and toured with Ms. Lauryn Hill. She was killing it and making incredible contacts! But, one night, on the road, she realized everyone working around her were single with no kids. They didn’t have time for it because of their jobs. And for Michaela, getting married and having children was a MUST (she’s freezing her eggs this year). So, she left the styling world and got into real estate, she wanted to sell the city she admired so much. Plus, the money didn’t hurt, it fed her shoe addiction. For every sale, she buys a new pair of designer shoes.

A few years later, when Asha saw Michaela at a friend’s party, she couldn’t believe how amazing her outfit was. Michaela looked and felt magnetic to Asha. She knew instantly she had to be friends with her. And at that time, Michaela was going through a split with her husband and flying back and forth from NYC to Miami to take care of her mother. So, she really needed supportive friends around her. Asha is a sexy firecracker who loves to make people laugh and be silly but also has no problem telling someone like it is, especially when it comes to a deal. She has that in common with Michaela, the bullshit detector. But there’s an emotional side to Michaela too. She loves love and is a hopeless romantic who falls hard and FAST. She’s always telling Asha about a new person she’s “in love with.” These two besties are on The Dream Team at Compass, a team of all women of color. They work super hard, but play even harder, especially because they are both single. These girls want to be wined and dined. Asha attracts the type of guys who want to pick her up in limos and take her on whirlwind dates. She’s taking it a bit slow because she recently got out of a 5-year relationship. Michaela attracts… well basically everyone. She’s bisexual and open to all the possibilities. So open that she’s going on dates 3 nights a week, through dating apps. She tends to attract high end chefs, which is great for someone who barely cooks.
