Medieval Mediterranean
Homeowner: Robert & Krystal
Home Location: Beverly Hills
This ornate Beverly hills mansion is like a Disney fairytale come to life by way of Miami! It has everything a little boy and girl who were obsessed with fairytales would want... but with an adult attitude and edge. This home is the epitome of Bling! Robert and Krystal have always loved fairytales so the idea that they could live in their dream fantasy castle in Beverly Hills is a true wish come true. Both Robert and Krystal have spent years painstakingly designing every inch of their illustrious palace, sourcing authentic pieces from castles in Europe to ordering custom lighting from Dubai. This couple spared no expense in bringing their dream to life. From larger than life, giant Knight statues that stand guard over the insanely intricate and massive castle entry way, to the fantasy beast statues that welcome you in the entrance, the outside of the home is just the beginning... Inside there’s a “great hall” with a Romeo and Juliet balcony, a tropical jungle themed living room, a British style pub, a poker room, an Alice and Wonderland inspired pool and backyard area, a “Dragon” themed bathroom, and much, much more! This home is like a living amusement park for adults. And to say it’s over the top is an understatement!
The Great Hall features a show-stopping grand staircase. Robert believes he owns the highest ceilings in Beverly Hills. There’s matching 15 foot mirrors, a Medieval candelabra chandelier and a Gothic mosaic on the floor. This room even has its own THRONE made of wood swords (250 hand carved pieces) that was made in Russia and cost nearly 40k! The “skull chairs” just across the way near the fireplace match the throne perfectly.
The British, 1800’s themed bar features an all gold ceiling with dragon skin wall paper! It also has its own apothecary case with all different types of potions and tinctures! The matching bone chairs are made from real animal bones! Yikes!
The Dragon bathroom features all black and red, gothic, medieval decorations. And of course, a dragon head staring directly at the black toilet!
The Tropical Forest living room features a chandelier from Dubai made out of over 250 glass pieces. They represent butterflies that tie in with the floral pieces that make up all four walls! It took three days just to install the chandelier.
The primary “wing” of the house has a security door that is an actual “vault door” made of 12 inches of steel. It’s impenetrable even by a bullet! The bed is an antique that is over 200 years old from a castle in Austria! There’s also matching his and her walk-in closets. It also has custom Gothic drapes and a Romeo and Juliet balcony that looks out in to the Great Hall.
The primary bedroom features a magnificent fireplace with a hand carved wood mantel dragon head piece that is over 300 years old.
