THE BOSTON BEER PARTY

Our story unfolds just across the street from Fenway Park, where Bostonians escape the grind of everyday life with a Red Sox game—or a few drinks. But inside this nearby Fenway bar, the beer tanks had other plans. A faulty shutoff valve failed, causing pressure to build until one of the tanks exploded. And explode it did—blasting chunks of yeast and liquid across the bar. Patrons were knocked off stools, food and drinks were soaked in unfermented beer, and chaos erupted as hundreds of people slipped and slid through gallons of the frothy mess. Beer drenched everyone in sight, turning the bar into a boozy slip-n-slide. Mark and his team rushed in to make sure no one was seriously hurt, handing out free T-shirts and comping meals for the now smelly, sticky, half-fermented crowd.
