Luxury French Mansion
Homeowner: Rebecca Enayati
Occupation: Real Estate Agent
Home Location: Beverly Hills
Rebecca moved from Iran to the U.S. with her family when she was nine years old and married her husband at only 16! The couple came from very humble means, but through hard work and determination they were able to make a prosperous life for themselves. In the last 33 years they have had three beautiful children together and built their financial success from the ground up. Ever since Rebecca was a little girl, she’s had an affinity for interior design. She would always find herself redecorating their home and arranging the furniture in different and new ways. While Rebecca has no degree in interior design, she finds herself collecting inspiration from design magazines and museums across Europe. It has become a full-time hobby for her! Her friends would describe her as fun loving, caring, and unabashedly original when it comes to her style and taste.
The mansion is the second home that the couple has purchased. They previously lived in Century City but when they saw a house was for sale in Beverly Hills off Sunset in a gated community, they decided to visit an open house and make an offer. They continued to build onto and add to the how, making it even bigger and grander. The home is a reflection of Rebecca’s hopes and dreams since she was a little girl and testimony to “if you can dream it, you can build it!”
The home was built 43 years ago but Rebecca and her husband took 7 additional years to add on to the home to make it what it is today. Initially the home was 2500 square feet but today they have reached 5005 square feet. They gave the home high ceilings to achieve a French chateau vibe. Intricate glass ceilings mimic the style commonly found with Persian rugs. Many people who see the home at first believe that it is a historical building but in reality it’s timeless look was only made possible by Rebecca and her husband’s renovations.
Two huge interior doors lead you to the bright and open entrance where the second-floor balcony sits above. A bright and open living area is on the immediate right with skylights and blue and pink dazzling crystals.
Rebecca says that her inspiration comes purely from her imagination and despite being told that something will work or not, she goes forward with it boldly proving everyone wrong with her risk taking. Her incredibly long dining table sitting at 30 ft. long and 36 inches wide she had custom built. Rebecca was initially told that it wouldn’t look good and that she would have to pay upfront, which she happily did…
Much of the furniture and décor have all been custom created and aren’t pieces you’d be able to find or source from a retail brand. One of the rarer pieces is a Persian carpet taken from a castle in Iran.
Rebecca says that she has never hired anyone to help with interior design. She knew exactly what she wanted to do!
Rebecca’s favorite part of the home is her entrance way. She says that even after visiting the most expensive and high end hotels nothing quite takes her breath away like the bright, welcoming, and luxurious entrance of her own home.
