Kristyn and Cole's love story began with a simple Instagram message. They had attended the same high school a couple of years apart, but never really knew each other until Cole saw Kristyn post a photo of her dinner and jokingly asked when she was going to invite him over. That playful comment turned into a first date, and more than a decade later they've been married nearly ten years, have two energetic kids, Brinley and Camden, two cats, and a relationship built on laughter, teamwork, and Kristyn's uncanny ability to convince Cole that all of her ideas are somehow his ideas.
Their love for the Outer Banks started on a whim during the pandemic. Stuck at home while real estate shut down in Pennsylvania, Kristyn became determined to find a beach house. Even though neither of them had ever been to the Outer Banks, they took a trip and it did not take long to fall in love with the area's quiet beaches, small town atmosphere, family friendly vibe, local restaurants, and laid back pace.
Kristyn is the organized, driven planner who researches every listing, analyzes every comparable sale, and is not afraid to message homeowners directly if she thinks a house is worth pursuing. Cole is the easygoing guy who happily follows along but has quietly become the pickier one. A self proclaimed germaphobe: old carpet, dated bathrooms, and worn out finishes are instant deal breakers. Kristyn sees possibilities and starts planning renovations. Cole starts wondering who has been living there for the last twenty years. Their running joke is that Kristyn dreams big while Cole keeps moving the goalposts.
Outside of work, Cole is basically a grown up kid, and everyone, especially Kristyn, knows it. If he's not riding dirt bikes with the kids, buying another drone or RC car, detailing cars, playing games, or sneaking a sleeve of Oreos, he's happiest outdoors having fun with his family . Kristyn balances him perfectly . She's the social butterfly, devoted mom, successful Realtor, and community volunteer whose calendar keeps the entire family running. Together they're looking for a clean, move in ready beach house with at least two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a pool, and easy walking or golf cart access to the beach. More than anything, they want a place where they can unplug from their busy lives, let the kids make memories, and finally enjoy the slower pace that first made them fall in love with Corolla.
