Lost In Transition

Jordyn was born male but always felt that he was in the wrong body, never feeling beautiful or quite them self. So, in 2019 Jordyn began her gender transition (male to female) with breast implants, which spiraled into a litany of other procedures inspired by the result of the augmentation. As they continued procedure after procedure, the emphasis shifted from passing as female to becoming as “beautiful as possible.” The desired form? An exaggerated feminine aesthetic like Jessica Rabbit or a Bratz doll. From getting her breasts redone so that they could be bigger, to two rounds of facial feminization surgery because the first was botched, to countless other lip injections (both adding and removing silicone), veneers so you could see her teeth again, multiple BBLs, and more, Jordyn fully admits that it’s an addiction at this point. She acknowledges its dangers, both physically and financially, but wants so badly to achieve the look of her dreams.

Jordyn is married to a handsome man named Blake who works for the Navy as an engineer and has a military background. The two met online and have been married for several years. Blake loves Jordyn as she is, but he loves her so much that he has a problem telling her no as it relates to her beauty procedures. The result is that they spend their money on her procedures, which don’t seem to ever fill the void of what Jordyn believes she needs done. Another important figure in her life is her father, Curtis, who is supportive of her transition but worries about the procedures as well. In fact, Jordyn, was once hospitalized for bacterial infection from a Brazilian Butt Lift gone wrong... Even so, she still wants the procedure done again.

In an unexpected and shocking turn of events, Blake has recently come out as transgender and wants to begin his own transition from male to female. Naturally, Jordyn is supportive but is struggling with the idea of being married to a woman. Blake’s transition brings their relationship and attraction to each other into question. Jordyn is insisting that they take a break until Blake’s transition is complete so they can reassess their relationship at that point. Jordyn also worries that Blake might end up following in her path, getting the same procedures and developing the same addiction. And on top of the physical dangers and emotional turmoil, the money that Blake was once making to support his wife is starting to run out - after spending $100,000 in cash on procedures, Jordyn has begun taking out loans and maxing out credit cards.

Even though it could be more dangerous, a solution for Jordyn’s money troubles is to seek out less expensive surgeries in Mexico, and begin traveling for her addiction. She’ll get more “bang for her buck” that way - more surgeries for less money - and hopes to soon get her next BBL, get a tummy tuck, and even have her ribs removed. Underneath all the plastic, Jordyn knows that she has a problem. So, will dad Curtis and husband Blake be able to reach her before she puts herself in the face of danger, again? Or, will Blake follow in her footsteps, leading the two of them to feed on each other’s addictions in pursuit of a knowingly unrealistic standard of beauty?
