  • Jeffrey didn’t grow up surrounded by cooks; in fact, he is completely self-taught. However, he admits, his friends and grandmother influenced him. 

  • He says his chopped liver is to die for. He’s also known for his brisket, and his Jewish Wedding Soup – his personal take on the Italian Wedding Soup. 

  • His biggest strength is pressure-cooking. In fact, he runs a blog – – that has over 100 pressure cooker recipes. 

  • What he loves most about Hanukkah is the excuse he has to cook and to organize gatherings with his friends and family. 

  • The biggest reward for him is when people write to him, to let him know he inspired them to step in the kitchen and start cooking.
