  • James is originally from Orange County and always dreamed of becoming a police officer, he had a DUI while in school and his dreams turned elsewhere. He was introduced to real estate through his ex-brother in law and felt he was a natural. He has a genuine passion for helping people (hence why he studied psychology and wanted to be an officer) so buying and selling homes is a perfect fit.

  • James was with Compass for many years but struck out on his own because he felt as though he was bringing in all of his own leads and only making a fraction of the commission. He’s currently working on a massive development while helping people buy and sell in Orange Country. He’s able to buy and sell in L.A. but his contacts and life are in the OC so he’s kept it local but he could work elsewhere if needed to.

  • He’s currently going through a two year divorce. He’s known his (wife?) since they were teenagers. They’ve had a toxic and tumultuous relationship and he sees the writing on the wall.

  • There are many parallels between James and Kendra’s story and situation:

    • James had a rough childhood (an alcoholic father, he was bullied in school- hence the body building today) and James suffered from substance abuse but now is on a second chapter of his life and believes in second chances.

    • Like Kendra, James is a single dad to two young boys. He’s trying to be successful in real estate while balance being a father. He wants to be a role model for his kids and especially be the father figure that he didn’t have growing up. He struggles balancing a demanding career while also being a dad and going through a tough divorce. All points Kendra has experienced and is currently experiencing.

    • Because he’s a real estate veteran, James has a lot of knowledge that he can share with Kendra. He believes that they would be able to work synergistically and not in competition, helping one another balance work and personal life- like a “work wife”

    • James has a goofy sense of humor as explained by his silly tattoos, he loves adventuring in his RV and spends a LOT of time in the gym, body building and working out is a big part of his lie
