When Jaime left Florida State University, she knew she needed to be in fashion. Her obsession for clothes had to be put to good use. And there was no better place to pursue those dreams than NYC. She worked in the fashion department at a magazine and while it was an amazing experience, she didn’t feel like there was tons of room to grow. So, she got her real estate license and basically stalked Adam Modlin until he hired her to be his social media guru. Within the year she was his right hand. That’s where she really started to make her mark. She knew the opportunity to make money was endless and even more so if she went out on her own. So, she left to start her own brand. Her first client… Jennifer Lawrence. When her new boyfriend, Zeve, saw how much money Jaime was making on commission, he wanted in on the action. He quit his technology job and got his license and together (with their 3rd partner) they run The Elevated Groupe at Compass. After 4 years as a team, they are currently on track for over $200M in 2022. Jaime and Zeve just bought and renovated their new West Village apartment.
So now they own property and run a business together, which has its fair share of problems. They basically disagree on everything. Jaime wants to do more marketing in the city, Zeve likes that they are high-end and word of mouth only. She didn’t realize just how hard this would all be. But as huge sales keep coming in, and she looks around at what her life has become, she knows they are doing something right. Around the time Zeve and Jaime partnered up in business, he became close to a high-end interior designer named Kristina Lomonaco. He knew Jaime would immediately hit it off with her so he introduced them. Now, these two friends not only refer clients to each other but they also have many of wild nights in the West Village. Fancy restaurants, dinner parties, membership clubs, galas, shopping… they do it all together. Then, about a year ago, Jaime met a new friend named Lindsay.
Lindsay was new to NYC. She lived in LA rising up the entertainment ranks and when Covid hit, she had enough. So, she moved to the West Village on a mission to find friends, a new career path and the love of her life. When Lindsay met Jaime, the two automatically clicked. Suddenly, Jaime was bringing her everywhere, setting her up with men in the city and is now having her join The Elevated Groupe. Most of her adult life, Lindsay’s been flipping properties with her family, plus she studied architecture and interior design in college. So, for her, this career jump makes sense, but at 33, it’s still scary. She sees how much money Jaime and her team brings in and wants what she has. But at the same time, Jaime is a friend of one year and she’s nervous that working for her directly will be challenging. The two have fought before and it wasn’t pretty. Jaime is excited to bring on her friend and knows she has the contacts and the mentality to do well, but both her and Zeve worry that because Lindsay’s life is so chaotic, it will bleed into work. But they still want to give it a try and see if it’s a fit. Lindsay has worked with just about every celebrity there is, so the opportunity is there and that’s the kind of clientele The Elevated Groupe works with.
While Kristina thinks Lindsay is sassy and enjoyable to party with, she feels like she always has a story to tell. And most of them revolve around Lindsay’s crazy dating life. Kristina normally is the friend with all the stories so she finds herself being overshadowed by Lindsay and her wild tales. Kristina is very used to being center of attention. She’s gorgeous, accomplished and a party girl, born and raised by an Italian family in NYC. After years of planning events for AMEX, she decided it was time to follow her dreams and start her interior design firm. Within her first year she had 11 clients. She had to learn how to be the CEO, social media, intern and designer. Now she has a team of 3 working under her and a few contractors. One of those contractors is a hot, eligible bachelor and everyone says he’s in love with Kristina. She knows they flirt and there’s some passion behind their fights about a project, but she’s scared to make the jump since it could affect her company.
People love working with Kristina because her clients become her friends. Plus, her taste is expensive and timeless with a modern, vintage twist. And these high-net-worth individuals are willing to PAY. She just finished a $23M penthouse in the city and a $30M home in the Hamptons. While work is so important to her, Kristina is looking to find her next boyfriend, but she’s not obsessing over it like Lindsay does. Because of Kristina’s voice of reason personality, people just tell her things, there’s an instant comfort there. Like the date she recently went on where the guy sobbing at the restaurant about his childhood.
Lindsay, on the other hand, is treating dating like a job. She’s going on 3-4 dates a week, no apps, referrals only. She tends to fall in love with narcissists but she knows her guy is out there. While she’s picky about the types of places she’ll go on a date, she’s not picky about everything. For a while she was dating a deaf guy, something she had never done before. She was so attracted to him. He was hot and everyone knew who he was. He was living the life with his Tribeca apartment, private driver, all the bells and whistles. He could read lips well and they had no problem communicating, she really thought they would go the distance. But, after he took her to Miami for her birthday, she saw how much he led his life with money and truly thought he was a king. After that breakup she told herself she needed to be spontaneous and always comes from a place of yes. Through the ups and downs, she’s stopping at nothing until she finds her husband.
These three women are all powerhouses in their own ways. And to be a boss, you must look and feel the part. Enter Prada, Chanel, YSL and Hermes. These girls throw down a lot of cash on appearance and status. They have their select restaurant spots they want to be seen at like Polo Bar, American Bar and Fort Charles. And of course, they belong to membership clubs like Casa Cipriani, Soho House and Zero Bond. Besides the scene, they spend their money in other luxurious ways. Kristina is finally ready to get back out there and find her dream apartment that she can renovate. And after the last 5 years of business she’s had, she’s ready to put a lot of money into it. Jaime has a full-time driver named Daniel. She wouldn’t be caught dead picking up her clients any other way, people are paying them for a service! Plus, it’s an expense that makes her life much easier. Lindsay has a spending problem when it comes to handbags and she also has a pretty sweet deal with her parents. They buy the properties and she flips them. She’s hoping they don’t mind when she moves into the multi-million-dollar West Village project they just finished. Jaime is looking forward to this gala season. Her and Zeve always buy a table and invite their closest friends, like Lindsay and Kristina. While it’s about giving back and the charity, there’s no shortage of eligible clients and bachelors.
