Hunter & Clay + Laura

Current Home: Raleigh, NC

Beach House Hunting In: Sunset Beach, NC

Beach Home Budget: 350,000

Hunter and Clay are identical twin brothers from North Carolina who have spent their entire lives proving that identical does not mean the same. Growing up, they were constantly mistaken for one another, but their personalities have always been completely different. Hunter is outgoing, spontaneous, and the type of person who gets excited about an idea and wants to jump right in. Clay is more thoughtful, analytical, and usually takes a step back before making a decision. If Hunter is the gas pedal, Clay is the brakes.

Growing up, the twins did just about everything together. They played sports, did well in school, and spent years correcting people who mixed them up. As adults, their personalities have taken them in different directions. Hunter is outgoing, social, and tends to trust his instincts. Clay is more measured, thoughtful, and usually asks the questions nobody else is asking.

Now, Hunter is on the hunt for a beach home along the North Carolina coast, and Clay has volunteered, or perhaps been recruited, to serve as the voice of reason. What started as casual scrolling through listings quickly became a serious search after Hunter realized how much he missed spending time around Sunset Beach, where the brothers spent summers growing up with family. The idea of having a place of his own near the coast has gone from a someday dream to something he is ready to make happen.

Hunter is looking for a home with two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, outdoor space for his dog, room to store beach gear, and easy access to the water. With a budget of around $350,000, he is focused on Sunset Beach and nearby areas like Ocean Isle Beach and Calabash. He wants something that is move in ready and has a little character, not a project that turns into a second full time job.

As they tour properties, their different approaches are on full display. Hunter tends to walk into a house and immediately start imagining what life there could look like. Clay is busy checking the details, asking practical questions, and making sure nobody gets carried away. Between Hunter's enthusiasm and Clay's healthy skepticism, they make a surprisingly effective team.

The Agent- Laura Hewett

Laura has never been one to follow the crowd. In fact, she'll be the first to tell you she threw out the traditional real estate playbook years ago. She built her business on authenticity, straight talk, and a willingness to fight for her clients. Whether she's working with first time buyers, retirees, or families searching for their dream beach house, Laura has a knack for figuring out what people actually want, even when they don't quite know it themselves.

When she's not selling homes, you'll probably find her at Wild Horse Ranch, the rescue ranch she owns and operates. There, she rehabilitates horses, hosts camps, and helps give both animals and people a second chance. It's a passion project that reflects a lot of who Laurie is: energetic, compassionate, and always willing to take on a challenge. A former Harley rider turned horse ranch owner, Laurie is anything but predictable. She brings big energy, strong opinions, plenty of stories, and decades of local knowledge to everything she does
