Kid: Nathaniel holt, 17 Years old

Parent: Justin “JT”

ANCHORAGE, AK

Justin “JT” Holt has been pursuing a career in professional wrestling since 2000. He was a part of the indie circuit in Memphis, TN. He hustled, traveled and put all his money into this dream career. In 2012, his family made the decision to move to Alaska. While the state was quite different from everywhere else in the lower 48, he was completely shocked at the lack of pro wrestling representation. So, to keep his dream going, he opened 907 Pro Wrestling Academy, which is still the only wrestling school in the state. Turns out his son, Nathaniel, has big dreams like his dad. The 17-year-old, who’s character is Auron West, started training in the spring of 2020 for his first match one year later. Not only is JT his father, but he’s also his head coach and is heavily involved in every aspect of his training. He helps Nathaniel with his ring skills, character development and promotional showmanship. When Nathaniel gets nervous or slips up, his dad is there to correct him and help him get it right. He is the youngest Alaskan Native to compete as a pro wrestler after all.

While Nathaniel is under 18, his dad has given him permission, legally, to keep performing in shows. He knows how important that is for his son’s career. Throughout the rest of the year and half of 2022, Nathaniel has 10+ shows. Once these shows are over, JT is hoping to send his son to live in Atlanta, GA to continue his training and performing. JT is positive this can help catapult Nathaniel to the top. There’s only so much he can do in Alaska, even though that means leaving the family. But for Nathaniel, he loves Alaska and wants to stay put. There’s always this slight pressure to take his dad’s advice and sometimes he just wants to be a teenager. But he’s put so much time into his craft and wants to make his dad proud. There’s also a “healthy competition” between the two. Nathaniel wants to beat his dad and get to a higher standing than his dad ever got, but JT isn’t quite ready to give up on the dream yet…. even though its cost him multiple homes and a much lower credit score. JT is intense and he wants his son to succeed in this at any cost. Nathaniel is a bit more reserved and his Dad definitely wants more out of him, which is always being discussed.
