Gina Nash: Home Flipper, Realtor / Broker & General Contractor

Atlanta, GA

Gina Nash is a real estate broker, house flipper, general contractor and newly established Georgia Peach living in Atlanta. She’s spunky, energetic, and not afraid to wear all the different hats that are required of her in order to own and operate her own business. You never know which Gina you’ll be seeing – the glamorous city girl out on the town with her friends, or the Gina with a ponytail and no makeup, getting down and dirty in her work.

Originally from Carson, California, Gina is proud to have earned her contractor’s license and isn’t shy about the fact that it gives her the right to be bossy, and to always be right. After all, this is her company, her license, and her money on the line. She acknowledges the fact that most people aren’t willing to put the work into a house that looks like it’s beyond repair – but she has honed her skills in evaluating what’s needed, determining her budget, and flipping for a profit. Nothing can scare her away from a house – she’s worn hazmat suits, dealt with completely molded homes, bug infestations, and even recalls a time that she walked into a “vacant” house on demolition day and ran into a person inhabiting the bedroom!

Gina works closely with her general contractor Ricardo who’s been her “go-to” guy for years. They are a great team until Gina asks for the impossible and Ricardo refuses her. Gina then has to talk him into doing the renovation that she envisioned. The results are 50/50 unfortunately. Sometimes Gina is right and it’s a great idea and sometimes Ricardo is right and Gina’s idea is half-cocked.  Additionally, Gina works with an agent named Serenity who’s a vivacious and fun real estate agent who is her acquisitions gal. Serenity is the person who finds the majority of the properties that Gina is working on. The two work closely together to find the perfect spot.

Gina is a “Jill of All Trades” and that’s what’s made her so successful. Because she’s so hands-on during all phases of a project, she’s able to convey the value of any house to a potential buyer. She knows where the “heart of the home” is, because she’s the one that put it there. Gina begins in the design process, and has a team of designers that prepare blueprints for her. Then her in-house contractors get to work, and Gina is there every step of the way. In addition to her own flipping, Gina offers programs to help others get into the business. She mentors and even partners with individuals that don’t have capital to get started, but will make a commission on a project they complete alongside Gina. Gina will invest her own money alongside first-time flippers in order to help them learn. In Gina’s words, “your first transaction is your learning transaction,” you’ll make all the mistakes and then learn how to get better.

For Gina, the most rewarding thing about her business is working closely with the end buyer to make their lives better. She’s even taken a lower bid in order to help a client purchase their childhood home.
