Ed is an eccentric artist, musician, designer and “maker,” who lives in upstate New York. A student of sculpture and industrial design in art school, he is best known for his wildly creative, “sonic objects,” that emit unearthly sounds and music while also maintaining a visually intriguing style. He makes them all himself, by hand! Ed is inspired by creativity and the unusual, he loves to make things out of nothing and after designing and building an outdoor kitchen for his home, he realized he needed a BBQ grill and smoker as well. So, he took an old pressure tank from the water system in his home, cut it down and designed the cooker using the tank. He has dreams of making a cooker that doubles as a musical instrument and in general finds anything generic to be uninteresting. He loves to cook but doesn’t love following recipes. He truly loves to wing it. He has won multiple awards for his unique sound sculptures, making him no stranger to the art of competition.
