Delpha and Delerice are known around Florida for their identical stunning looks and over-the-top, close-knit relationship. They turn heads wherever they go! The look alike, they act alike, they have a company together, they are both pastors and they match their outfits every day. The sister’s eye-catching look is matched only by their enormous personalities and magnetic attitudes. People are often transfixed by their uncanny similarities both physically and personally. They are both married, and both had ceremonies at the same church, by the same pastor and held their wedding receptions at the same venue. They even had the same horse and carriage to bring them to their wedding ceremony! For Delerice and Delpha, being identical isn't just a way of life, it's a necessity so they feel safe in the world.
The gals are originally from Miami, Florida but when Delerice married her husband, Nick, she was forced to move 10 hours away to Pensacola, Florida so that Nick could go to nursing school. She made the move under one condition: Delerice needs to spend two weeks of the month with Delpha in Fort Lauderdale! Nick agreed and the day after they were married, Delerice packed her bags and moved away from her sister with the understanding that this living situation would be temporary while Nick finishes school. When they sisters are apart there are at least 100 exchanges a day between their constant text messages, phone calls and FaceTime calls. They have to talk all day long to see what the other one is doing! When Delerice and Delpha go shopping separately, they will often buy the exact same outfit! They don't plan the purchases; they are just drawn to the same exact clothing. They love to match their outfits, make-up, hair and accessories so they are identical all the time, even when separated.
Delpha and Delerice are both pastors. They are passionate about their work and both felt called to be involved in their church. Faith is a major aspect of their lives. They have a nightly ritual of praying together over their family and their careers. They will also do vision boards together to manifest the lives that they want to have together. In their house of worship, they face ridicule because of their over-the-top personalities and so-called tie to material things such as make-up and clothing. Additionally, Delpha and Delerice compete in beauty pageants together, model and own a makeup line together. Their glamorous appearance isn't a front, it's simply who they are! They know that they have to work harder to gain trust and respect from people in their church because of how they look. However, once people are able to see past the glam, they often see the beauty of their souls.
Delerice and her husband Nick just started trying for a baby and she recently found out that she is pregnant! Though the discovery was one of the happiest moments of her life Delerice was saddened that Delpha wasn’t there to share the news. Delpha feels saddened too to not be physically there during Delerice's pregnancy. But they make do best they can: The duo starts each morning on FaceTime together so they can pray together about the health and safety of the baby and for Delerice to have a smooth delivery once the baby arrives. Delpha also advises Delerice on what she should eat each day while she is pregnant so she won't get an upset stomach. Delerice is sending Delpha daily bump pictures and Delpha loves that her sister is sharing her growing belly with just her! Though they plan to continue to spend two weeks of the month together, the two weeks that they are apart is always painful for the twins. They feel it more deeply now because of Delerice's pregnancy.
Delpha is married to her pastor husband Glenton and together they have a son, Glenton III, age four. Delerice was there every step of the way for Delpha's pregnancy and loved taking care of her sister while she was pregnant. Delerice remembers rubbing Delpha's pregnant belly and talking to the baby from early in Delpha's pregnancy until Glenton III was born. Glenton III calls Delerice, "mommy" as well and she loves how close she is to her nephew. Delpha and Delerice say that they can feel each other's symptoms when they aren't feeling well. Delerice recalls when Delpha was in the hospital with pneumonia when she was younger and how she "felt" all of Delpha's symptoms. It will be interesting to see if Delpha feels sympathy pains while Delerice is pregnant!
Now that Nick is finishing the last of nursing school exams, the couple plans to move closer to Delpha and Glenton sometime in the next year. The sisters are already hatching a scheme to get pregnant together after Delerice's first baby as they want to experience being pregnant at the same time. Delpha wants another baby but has put her plans on hold so she can care for Delerice and be there for her sister. The distance compounded with Delerice’s pregnancy is testing their bond in a way that they’ve never been tested before. They miss each other terribly and want to be by one another’s side now more than ever.
