Meet Chase and Casey from Tylertown, Mississippi; high school sweethearts, married for 20 years, parents to two spirited daughters, and self-proclaimed “country as cornbread.” This hilarious, heartfelt, and genuinely charming family is as comfortable on horseback as they are tubing behind a boat, and they’re now on the hunt for the ultimate coastal escape. With their Southern wit, endearing banter, and big personalities, this tight-knit crew is bound to bring laughter and heart to the screen.
The couple currently lives on a 300 acre stretch of family land in rural Mississippi, a place with one red light, lots of cows, and not a beach in sight. Their lives are busy: Chase runs a construction company specializing in heavy-duty infrastructure, while Casey juggles parenting, sports schedules, and cheering on their two daughters, Gracie (14, a softball star) and Zalie (9, a gymnastics-loving girly-girl who also loves to fish.) After years of renting beach homes for quick getaways, the family decided it was finally time to stop dreaming and start house hunting in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi which is a coastal town just 80 minutes from home that offers boating, nightlife, fishing, golf carts, and the kind of sandbar serenity they’ve been craving.
For Chase and Casey, affordability is a top priority in their search for a beach house. This isn’t just a fun getaway—it’s a big financial leap for them, and money is tight. They've been carefully saving and dreaming for years, and they know that finding something under $500k is the only way this dream can become a reality. It’s a risk, but one they’re willing to take for the sake of family memories, weekend escapes, and a change of pace from their busy, rural lives.
Their ideal home is where the beach meets the bayou. For Casey, it’s all about being a “beach bunny.” She wants to walk out the back door, feel the sand between her toes, and enjoy sunny days on the beach with her daughters. For Chase, the must-haves are all about the water but in the form of “fishing,” and not the beach. He wants easy boat access, a private dock or lift, and proximity to prime fishing spots. He’s a detail-oriented construction pro (especially picky about concrete) who wants to grill, fry, or boil whatever he catches with a crowd of friends on a spacious patio. Their compromise? A home near the bay or river, close enough to boat or golf-cart to the beach, where both their passions fishing and beach lounging can coexist.
Of course, finding that perfect property hasn’t been without challenges. The family has spent four years searching for a place that hits both of their wish lists all while trying to stay close to the beach AND importantly: stay in their budget range. Their girls are equally excited, dreaming of a home with pink and purple interiors and of course beach side adventures.
For Chase and Casey, buying a beach home isn’t just about property, it’s about building a second chapter of memories. This would be a weekend escape and summer sanctuary, where they can leave behind construction sites and sports fields, and trade them in for laughter, late nights, live music, and life on the water. As Casey puts it, they’re most excited for the memories they’ll make together and this new home is their long-awaited reward.
