Brittani and Emad met 12 years ago through a mutual friend while living in sunny Florida. They started off as friends but soon realized they were in love and began dating. Emad was a professional football player in the NFL but retired due to an injury in 2005. He played for the Bears, Broncos and Falcons. The couple has an eight-year-old son who is admittedly the glue keeping the fragile relationship together. Although Brittani and Emad both love country music, going to dinner and spending family time together, the spark is not as strong as it once was. Additionally, trust issues are destroying their relationship. Emad is shameless about his love of women. He is constantly seeking out attention from women whether it’s flirting, partying or striking up conversations or friendships that Brittani thinks are inappropriate. It’s unclear if he has cheated or crossed the line.

Brittani is quite different. She is a mature, responsible mother who spends her time at home taking care of their son. She would rather stay in and enjoy a planned out organized life instead of spontaneity and partying like Emad does. It’s difficult for them to understand if they are truly a good fit or if they are simply together for their child. And even if they are meant to be together, can they repair a relationship plagued with issues of trust and insecurity? The couple had a wedding planned on a cruise several years ago, but they had to cancel due to Covid. After a string of family deaths, including both of their mothers, neither has been motivated to plan a wedding. At this point neither Emad or Brittani are happy and their relationship is spiraling downward. Hopefully this project can help to either solidify their engagement or to bring an amicable end to an overdue and drawn out relationship.  

BRITTANI’S QUESTIONS FOR EMAD:

1)    Why didn’t Emad break up with Brittani before meeting up with another woman?

Emad met a woman on Instagram and went to Vegas with her. Why didn’t he just breakup with Brittani first if he really wanted this other woman. Was it about sex? Did he cheat? What was the reality of that relationship?

2)    Would Emad have stayed with the Instagram women?

Brittani discovered that this woman existed, but she wonders what would have happened if she hadn’t caught him.

3)    Why won’t Emad introduce Brittani to close friends?

Emad has a best friend named Erica, whom Brittani has never met.  Emad and Erica have even vacationed together. If there is nothing going on why can’t Brittani meet her?

4)    Why did Emad lie about going to Cancun with two female friends?

Did he go to Cancun with a girl named Kelly and his friend Erica while she was home taking care of their son? Brittani doesn’t know the truth. And even if she does know the truth how does that impact their relationship?

5)    Does Emad really want to be with Brittani?

Does Emad actually want to be with her, or would he prefer one of these other girls who are not as uptight as she is.   

EMAD’S QUESTIONS FOR BRITTANI: 

1)    How did Brittani find out about the girl Emad was supposed to go to Cancun with?

Emad wants to know if her story about seeing an open email is true.  

2)    What made Brittani think Emad was talking to other women?

Emad wonders what gave her the inkling that he was DMing women on IG? Is she snooping on him? Does she check his phone? Monitor his computer time? What other aspects of his life is she monitoring that he is unaware of?

3)    What made Brittani think Emad was spending money on other women?

Is Emad’s circle of friend spreading rumors or information about his life to Brittani?
