Kid: LILLY BRIDGET, 16 Years old

ParentS: REBECCA & ROBERT (STEPDAD)

LOUISVILLe, KY

Rebecca and Robert Bridget have supported their daughter’s (Robert’s step-daughter) fascination with professional wrestling since she was six years old. Lilly grew up going to shows and meeting pro’s, and at thirteen, as soon as she was old enough to start training, Rebecca and Robert enrolled her in professional wrestling training. Along the way, she’s done competitive cheer, boxing class, acting camp and spent hours in the gym, all in the hopes of bolstering her physique and showmanship for her wrestling career. And it’s been paying off. Today, Lilly — whose stage name is Billie Starkkz — competes with GCW, one of the top independent wrestling promotions, currently holds the Girl Fight title and has 14 professional engagements planned all across the country just in the next two months. And at just 16 years old, she’s already ranked in the Pro Wrestling Index, the youngest wrestler to ever rank on the list. She’s so good, in fact, that wrestling companies are already lined up, ready to have her sign with them the minute she turns 18.

And while Lilly’s definitely got the chops to take it far, she wouldn’t be where she is without the support of her loving parents. Robert has taken up the role of being Lilly’s wrestling photographer, capturing her in every competition. Rebecca, admittedly, can be a bit of a nervous wreck watching her perform, terrified that she will get injured.  She even created a signal with her daughter in order to show that she’s ok and not actually hurt. Nonetheless, she continues to accompany her to every competition, drive every day over state lines to train (due to age restrictions in Kentucky) and finance her career with just one condition: that Lilly must go to college. And even though Rebecca and Robert may be Lilly’s biggest supporters, they also may very well be her biggest critics — they have no issue being vocal about what Lilly needs to improve on. Though, with just about a year left of high school and with opportunities lined up as far as the eye can see, they don’t have a lot to worry about — except, of course, Lilly actually getting her degree. Now with a legitimate wrestling career closer than it has ever been before, will Lilly actually hold up her end of the bargain with her mom?
