Ben Nurick - President

Ben Nurick is president and co-founder of Bodega Pictures, a full-service independent production company, where he oversees all facets of production and development. With over a decade of experience across myriad disciplines of the entertainment industry, Nurick founded Bodega Pictures with fellow NYU-alum and producing partner, Josh Ackerman in 2008. The duo produce original unscripted content for such clients as TLC, Food Network, HGTV, Discovery +, A&E, truTV and Paramount, among others.

Among Bodega’s breakout hit series are TLC’s Extreme Sisters and sMothered; A&E’s Hustle  & Tow; Food Network’s Girl Meets Farm hosted by Daytime Emmy and James Beard award-nominated chef Molly Yeh; HGTV’s top-rated Rehab Addict Rescue and Tiny Luxury; and flagship series South Beach Tow for truTV. Other shows and specials include Kart Life (truTV), Big Easy Justice (Paramount), Big & Little (TLC), Best. Pool. Ever. (HGTV), On the Rocks and Ultimate Hanukkah Challenge (Food Network), in addition to Cablefax award-winning and Realscreen-nominated lifestyle series Altar’d (Z Living). 

Before selling their first show, Nurick produced and directed a variety of commercials and branded content for Target, Red Bull, Oribe Hair Care, Biogen, and other clients under the Bodega banner. Prior to Bodega Pictures, Nurick cut his teeth directing and producing MTV’s award-winning television documentary series True Life. He went on to produce Curl Girls for LOGO with long-time collaborator Ackerman. Nurick began his career as an actor, appearing in the studio features I Heart Huckabees and The Lords of Dogtown, in the Broadway play The Lion in Winter at the Roundabout Theater, as well as various television shows and commercials, after studying directing and acting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

In his spare time, Nurick fronts Los Angeles-based rock band The Fringes whose songs have been licensed for independent features Waiting for Forever and Conception. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, three kids and their dog Jack.
