The owner of the property had a vision for making his dream backyard. His dream was so big, he had to buy the lot next to him to make it a reality! Jeremy Wigley met with the owner and once the plan called for a transitional modern design, he knew designer Randy Angell was the right person for the job. The aesthetic of the pool is one of it’s most remarkable features. Clean lines, angular shapes, the use of symmetry, the sight-lines that connect the spaces together, simple and bright colors all combine together to make an exceedingly modern yet relaxing outdoor environment.
The new land acquired by the owner essentially doubled the size of the lot. The owner wanted to maximize the pool space along with the additional cabana structure. The main pool has a sizable 700 square foot surface area and surrounded by a Knotwood deck - a material perfect for weathering in the hot Texas summer! The sunken fire pit is the focal point of the pool. It was designed so while seated in the space, the water from the pool is level with edge of the seating area. Guests enjoy beautiful, Texas sunsets and cocktails sitting in the fire pit and feeling like they are floating the night away!
